Now, it's not normal for us to be so intrigued by a remake but the upcoming Carrie remix looks like it might just work.
Directed by Kimberley Peirce, who certainly knows a few things about teenage angst (she directed Boys Don't Cry), and starring Chloe Grace Moretz, who impressed us in Kick-Ass and Let Me In, as Carrie, it certainly has a fine pedigree.
Oh and did we mention that Julianne Moore is playing her mother?
This first teaser has us a bit excited too as it gives a restrained look at the mayhem to come. The film is supposed to be a more faithful adaptation of Stephen King's classic novel while Moretz herself has already compared it to Black Swan.
What do you think?
Carrie hits cinemas on April 5th

As Content Director of Shortlist, Marc likes nothing more than to compile endless lists of an evening by candlelight. He started out life as a movie writer for numerous (now defunct) magazines and soon found himself online - editing a gaggle of gadget sites, including TechRadar, Digital Camera World and Tom's Guide UK. At Shortlist you'll find him mostly writing about movies and tech, so no change there then.
