The herringbone tweed jacket with suede elbow patches was custom made from McQueen's role as San Francisco Police Lieutenant “Frank Bullitt”, and starred in that the legendary car chase scene. While the jacket doesn't maketh the man, this is about as close as you can get to buying liquid cool.
The auction of this classic piece of film memorabilia will take place on July 29th at Hollywood memorabilia specialist Profiles in History. It's estimated to fetch in the region of $600,000 - $800,000 (£390,000 - £520,000) - making it more expensive than all the clothes we'll ever own, ever. And how we want it so.
