Rolling Stones movie in development

Jagger et al get their first biopic

Rolling Stones movie in development

While we've often seen the Stones on the big screen, it's usually been in the format of a documentary.

From Gimme Shelter to Shine A Light, we've had our fair share of real-life looks at the band but, finally, it appears that the legendary rockers are getting their own fancy biopic.

Richard Branson's Virgin Productions has acquired the rights to Exile on Main Street: A Season in Hell with the Rolling Stones, the 2008 book by Robert Greenfield. It focuses on the fraught relationship between Mick Jagger and Keith Richards as they recorded Exile on Main Street in the summer of 1971.

It's a tale of drugs, disagreements and debauchery that's pretty much what you'd expect from the first big screen Stones drama.

It's being brought to the screen by scribes Brandon and Phil Murphy who are also working on a Steve McQueen biopic.

Who would you like to see playing the Stones?
