Everyone’s spotted the same problem with the ‘Ready Player One’ movie poster

How did they not spot this?!

Everyone’s spotted the same problem with the ‘Ready Player One’ movie poster

Steven Spielberg’s Ready Player One is one of the most hotly anticipated film adaptations on the horizon, with fans of Ernest Cline’s bestseller especially excited for its release.

The dystopian novel won plenty of awards following its 2011 release, and the big screen version will star British actors Olivia Cooke, Simon Pegg and Mark Rylance, among others.

It’s set for a March 2018 release, but the poster for the film has already made its debut.

And it all looks great… apart from one small thing. Well, we say small…

Not much to see here. Futuristic blue-ish sky, electricity and tall buildings on the horizon, guy climbing… wait, what the fuck’s up with his leg?

Sure, this could just be a plot point, along the lines of ‘in the future everyone will have one leg twice the size of the other’, but we reckon this might have come up in the original book if that was the case.

After the initial confusion, the internet began doing what the internet always does.

Cue this…

And this…

There was a quick fix, though…

Some suggested it merely looks off due to the angle of the poster…

While others argued the opposite…

And besides…

Still, it’s got us all talking about Ready Player One for longer than a poster normally would, so maybe they’ve done this all on purpose.
