Putting a price on football fandom

Although Manchester United fans will argue you can't put a price on winning the Premier League (we'd say around £24 million considering the influence of Robin van Persie's 26 goals), the money-minded folk of VoucherCodes.co.uk have put together an infographic revealing the cost of being a Premier League fan for the 2012/13 season.

While the red half of Manchester earnt the bragging rights that really matter, for the third year in a row the City fans were able to claim their season ticket was the best value for money.

The cheapest 2012/13 City season ticket, priced at £275 (one of the cheapest in the league, second only to Wigan's £255), saw City fans pay the equivalent of £32.25 per home win, compared to United fans' £43.77 per win.

QPR fans had the worst time of it, with their £499 season ticket returning the equivalent of £337.90 per home win. An Arsenal fan's monstrous spend of £985 balanced out at £106.80 per win.
