Blizzard Entertainment has a new game coming out and the game studio really wants you to know about it.
Seemingly uninspired by the teaser trailers which normally accompany a game announcement, the studio behind monster hits Warcraft, Starcraft and any other billion dollar game with 'craft' in its title, has developed a short film of Pixar-like proportions in their effort to introduce us to Overwatch.
Set in a futuristic world thrown into chaos, a plucky band of heroes (Overwatch) are recruited to save the planet from obliteration, teleporting and blasting their way across continents to set things right against dark forces. Ignoring the family friendly ambitions of the short teaser, the finished product itself is sure to attract the interest of the most seasoned gamer.
Think the cartoonish qualities of XIII paired with the mass shoot-em-up systems of Unreal, and you’d be on the right track. See the video underneath the teaser for some in-game footage.
