It's a common, but rather accurate, cliché that everyone has a movie idea in their back pocket, waiting to be pitched to the nearest industry exec.
Even, it turns out, the President of the United States of America. Yes, Barack Obama isn't content with leading the free world, he also sees himself as a potential movie mogul.
He's been in contact with notorious studio chairman Harvey Weinstein over a potential film pitch.
"The President sent me a book the other day and said, 'Why don't you make this into a movie?'" Weinstein revealed to The Times. "I can't tell you [what it was]. It was a spy novel."
But the exec producer of The King's Speech and Kill Bill, politely refused the suggestion.
"I sent him an email back saying he was the most overqualified book scout I've ever had," he added.
