It doesn't look good for humanity in the final trailer for 'War for the Planet of the Apes'

“I did not start this war...but I will finish it.”

The words of ape ruler Caesar, there, and considering he commands an army of very angry grenade-lobbing monkeys, not words we’re willing to bet against.

Fox today released the final trailer for the third movie in the rebooted Planet of the Apes series, which will see apes and humankind face off in a battle to determine the future of their species. It’s going to be brutal.

Caesar (portrayed via state-of-the-art motion capture by Andy Serkis) is up against Woody Harrelson’s ruthless Colonel, and it’s pretty clear that the pair of them are way past talking.

War for the Planet of the Apes hits UK cinemas on 14 July, 2017.
