It can be difficult to make Shakespeare work in trailers. He was a wordy man and didn't write with intention of having his story flashily edited into 90 seconds with a pop hit running underneath. But the new trailer for Cymbeline does a pretty impressive job of making the play seem gritty and bringing out the action.
The original play is an epic of forbidden love, attempted murders, cross-dressing and great battle in Britain. Michael Almereyda's film has adapted this into a grudge war between corrupt cops and a drug-dealing biker gang in modern America. The impressive cast includes Ed Harris, Ethan Hawke, Anton Yelchin, Milla Jovovich, John Leguizamo, Penn Badgley and Dakota Johnson.

As Content Director of Shortlist, Marc likes nothing more than to compile endless lists of an evening by candlelight. He started out life as a movie writer for numerous (now defunct) magazines and soon found himself online - editing a gaggle of gadget sites, including TechRadar, Digital Camera World and Tom's Guide UK. At Shortlist you'll find him mostly writing about movies and tech, so no change there then.
