Sometimes an idea comes along and you wonder how no one ever thought of it before. Case in point are these incredible Google Street View images that look like scenes from movies.
While the photos below may seem to be your average Google maps snaps, they're not. Peer a little closer and you'll discover they resemble roads and houses from popular films that have been tweaked to look like they're part of Google Street View. Included in the collection is a shot of Goodfellas (pictured above), No Country For Old Men and The Godfather.
According to Gawker the mastermind behind the images, Tre Baker, said it's hard to find images that "look GSVy", (that's Google Street View-y if you're wondering).
Despite this we reckon he's done a fairly spectacular job here. The only thing we're annoyed about is that we didn't come up with it first.
Take a look at the images below and see if you can guess them all (answers at the bottom). You can also view them on the tumblr Google Street Scene.
(The Godfather, No Country For Old Men, The Bourne Identity, Mystery Train, Blue Velvet, Smokey and the Bandit, The Blues Brothers, Vanishing Point, Back to the Future, My Own Private Idaho, Goodfellas)
