Movie posters matched up with their actual scenes is a thing of beauty

If a picture is worth a thousand words, then a film poster is worth a thousand dollars.

As for all the artistic merits, it's mostly all about good marketing, effectively designed to get your hand in your pocket and backside on a cinema seat.

Not that we mind of course – done right and these works are a thing of beauty. Which brings us to this special series:

From French-based designer Candice Drouet comes this brilliant video, interlayering memorable film posters with the actual scenes they’re taken from to bring these scenes to life like you’ve never seen before.

From the nerve-jangling camera dolly shot of the car for It Follows, to Bill Murray doing nothing more than sitting on a bed in Lost In Translation, each one opens up a whole new perspective on your favourite films.

More of these please, Candice. 'Coming 2017' presumably.
