Movie paintings

Iconic films get even cooler

Movie paintings

Watching some films, we're struck with the need to capture the odd shot. It doesn't happen all the time (not ONCE in Big Momma's House 3) but when it does, the pause button just doesn't seem to do it justice.

Clearly we're not as smart as Massimo Carnevale. The Italian artist uses a digital drawing tablet and Photoshop to create pieces of art from single images within the films he watches.

His aim is to extrapolate the essence of the movie with one shot. The results are below to gawp at. Oh and if you can't put your finger on where that top image is from it's The Usual Suspects. Shame on you for not knowing that.

You can see more of his work here.
