We're struggling to imagine a classier set of illustrations than these.
Italian architect and illustrator Federico Babina has created a fantastic new series of illustrations, entitled Archilife, where he imagines some legendary Hollywood icons going about their normal lives in buildings designed by famous architects. Alfred Hitchcock can be seen shaving in a Le Corbusier bathroom, while Marlon Brando waters his plants in a Frank Lloyd Wright front room.
The illustrations include fascinating interior details and lighting, for example, the iconic Barcelona Chair by Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, which can be seen in Marilyn Monroe's image.
Babina explained to My Modern Met that, “I am representing architectural interiors, not as mere inanimate scenarios, but like sets of portraits of everyday life."
Take a look at our favourites below, and view the whole set at Babina's website.
