Different to most high school films, with its spot-on gags and casting, yet still shamefully relatable, Superbad remains a benchmark to which any modern coming-of-age comedy aspires.
So, if like us, you’ve been wondering what became of Evan (Michael Cera), Seth (Jonah Hill) and Fogell (Christopher Mintz-Plasse) through their college years and beyond, we bring good news: Michael Cera has been wondering likewise.
In an interview for this week’s ShortList, the Canadian star revealed that he'd be game for a sequel to the hit film if it were ever proposed: “No one has mentioned it, but I’d probably have to say yes, because it would be so fun to be around those guys again.”

As a movie-watcher I get nervous about sequels. But the Anchorman one looks good.”
It’s got Cera’s backing, it’s damn sure got our backing, and we can’t imagine why the rest of the original cast and crew wouldn’t give it theirs – and before you try telling us Jonah Hill's too busy being nominated for Academy Awards, Cera also told us that the pair hang out in New York quite regularly, leading us to believe that, much like McLovin being served alcohol, anything is possible...

As Content Director of Shortlist, Marc likes nothing more than to compile endless lists of an evening by candlelight. He started out life as a movie writer for numerous (now defunct) magazines and soon found himself online - editing a gaggle of gadget sites, including TechRadar, Digital Camera World and Tom's Guide UK. At Shortlist you'll find him mostly writing about movies and tech, so no change there then.
