Man live tweets the worst Megabus journey ever (and it’s hilariously tragic)

Cheap and cheerful, that's the Megabus way. But we've never worked out just how they manage to keep prices as cheap as they are.

For a long time, journeys such as London to Leeds cost a mere pound - even now it's only seven quid for a five hour trip. But now we think we may have worked out where savings were being made in order to keep those prices so low.

Lucas Peterson, a US journalist who writes for the New York Times' Frugal Traveler blog took a trip from Chicago to Milwaukee on Sunday - and things did not go according to plan.

Oh dear. And not only was the journey interrupted in the most spectacular way possible - a lot of people lost possessions which were stuck on the bus:
