Cheap and cheerful, that's the Megabus way. But we've never worked out just how they manage to keep prices as cheap as they are.
For a long time, journeys such as London to Leeds cost a mere pound - even now it's only seven quid for a five hour trip. But now we think we may have worked out where savings were being made in order to keep those prices so low.
Lucas Peterson, a US journalist who writes for the New York Times' Frugal Traveler blog took a trip from Chicago to Milwaukee on Sunday - and things did not go according to plan.
