LeBron James Might Be Making A Sequel To Space Jam

What do you get when you put the greatest basketball player in the world in the same place as cartoon characters that cross over generations?

The best film of the ‘96, that’s what.

In what seems to be a trend that won't disappear, Warner Brothers filed for new trademarks for Space Jam last month hinting that there's going to be another remake of a film from yesteryear.

Is Michael Jordan about to bounce back onto our screens? No, but LeBron might be gearing up to replace him in a sequel.

Rumours of the Cavaliers player taking the lead have been flying around for over a year, he's been a fan of the movie since he was a kid. But this week he signed a production sponsored_longform with Warner Bros and his SpringHill Entertainment company (yeah, that's a thing) with plans for TV, film and digital content projects.

It’s the most concrete indication that a rematch against the Monstars might actually happen.

This won’t be LeBron’s first screen appearance; he features in Amy Schumer and Judd Apatow’s recent release Trainwreck.

Here’s hoping if a sequel does go ahead that it doesn’t go the way of his debut's title.
