There’s nothing that isn’t improved by being made out of LEGO. That’s just a fact of life. Recently, we’ve had LEGO Oscars, LEGO Marty McFly’s and now, finally, we have a LEGO Apu Nahasapeemapetilon.
The latest incarnation of those incredible little bricks is the legendary Kwik-E-Mart from The Simpsons. The detail is, as you’d expect, superb. The minuscule magazines and newspapers have gag headlines, there's Homer’s favourite ‘heat lamp hot dogs’ and even a frozen Jasper Beardly in the fridge.
You just know what the man in the shop is going to say when you buy a set for your(self) nephew: “thank you, come again.”
The 2,179 piece set will be available from May 1.

As Content Director of Shortlist, Marc likes nothing more than to compile endless lists of an evening by candlelight. He started out life as a movie writer for numerous (now defunct) magazines and soon found himself online - editing a gaggle of gadget sites, including TechRadar, Digital Camera World and Tom's Guide UK. At Shortlist you'll find him mostly writing about movies and tech, so no change there then.
