Paul & Shark, despite the name, are Italian all the way: in the traditional mould of Osti and the Italian jacket gods, the brand is developed in Varese from organic materials and pioneering craftsmanship.
Their new autumn/winter 2017 collection knocks it up a notch. With jackets in reflective colours, thermal insulation, boundary pushing fabrics and construction and supreme attention to detail, this looks to be a bumper drop to put the label front of mind with new jacket fiends (and fans of great jumpers, too).
Previously a cult favourite of old school collectors who wanted yachting gear they could wear on solid ground, Paul & Shark’s push towards tech is timely without forgetting where they came from: the designs have been updated but they’re still yacht ready, and, what with all the rain we have over here, what better purchase than something that’ll keep you warm and dry while still looking great in elegant, powerful designs with haute couture tailoring and construction that’s built to last? None better, we reckon.
