
The rule is: never run for trains. Don’t do it, even if you’re late, because chances are, you’re gonna be one of those bozos who gets to the doors just as they’re closing. Off goes the train as you stand there, your bag strap slipped down off one shoulder and everything - you are a laughing stock, an embarrassing, sweaty failure.
So don’t run for it, and you’ll swerve the ridicule.
UNLIKE THIS LOT OF BIG PLONKERS, who have been collected in my new favourite Instagram account @missedyabus, which helpfully collates all those moments of desperation and exasperation in glorious detail. It is simply a man filming people missing their trains, and it is joy in its purest form. For me, anyway, not for the latesters that have had a door slammed in their face - they’re having a right old mare of it all. Gutted!
