2014 is shaping up to be a mighty big year for Imogen Poots.
Following her star turn in last year’s debauched masterpiece Filth, the British actress wrapped on Terrence Malick’s as yet mysterious Knight Of Cups, a film which could propel her to bona fide Hollywood star.
First up, however, is comedy drama A Long Way Down. Adapted from the Nick Horby novel of the same name, Poots plays a troubled politician’s daughter who forms an unlikely pact with three other strangers (Pierce Brosnan, Aaron Paul and Toni Collete) after they all meet atop a London suicide spot on New Year’s Eve.
It's far from the only book adaptation she'd like to see brought to the screen either, as we found out when we sat down to chat recently, where we also pressed for details on Knight Of Cups - and by 'pressed' we mean 'interrogate'.
A Long Way Down is out in cinemas now
