Jay Gatsby is one of the ultimate playboys. But it's fairly hard to emulate this style without looking like you've just stepped out of a fancy dress shop. Luckily, Peter Lynes managing director from Peter Werth has shown us how to do just that.
"Everyone’s been bigging up 1920s fashions ever since we learnt that Baz Luhrmann was remaking F. Scott Fitzgerald's The Great Gatsby.
"We know that Brooks Brothers has designed costumes for the movie's male actors, such as Leonardo DiCaprio, but if the enigmatic Jay Gatsby was going to choose his jazz age gear today, his suit would more than likely come from Ralph Lauren, with a Thom Brown shirt and Drakes Tie.
"The look would be finished off with a pair of Peter Werth three-colour Correspondent shoes – a style favoured by the modernists and jazz fans at the time."
