Wait. We know what you're thinking: 'A film about the complete works of Stephen Hawking’s pondering of the Cosmos and everything in it?' Don’t worry, we're not too interested in spending 72hrs slumped inside a cinema, either.
Which is why we’re more than happy to report that The Theory Of Everything is actually a biopic of the eminent professor, charting his earlier years at Cambridge University, where he met his future wife Jane and, fatefully, also received the diagnosis which would shake his world at the tender age of 21.
Directed by Man On Wire’s James Marsh and based on Jane Hawking's memoir Travelling To Infinity: My Life With Stephen, further reasons to expect big things from this film is in the lead casting. Felicity Jones plays Jane, and Eddie Redmayne plays the bespectacled genius who went on to become one the foremost thinkers of our age - and you can see the pair in action in the debut trailer, below.
You might call it a brief history of his time.
The Theory Of Everything is in cinemas from 1 January
