David Lynch is launching a music festival and the line-up is astounding

David Lynch might be known for his surreal films, but he has just evolved to surreal level 3000 with the announcement of his Festival of Disruption, a music festival featuring an extraordinary line-up.

The festival, running between 8 and 9 October at the Ace Hotel in LA, features music from Robert Plant, St Vincent, Questlove, and Rhye, as well as a talk from Blondie's Debbie Harry (yes, Lynch finally took her advice and called the singer).

There will also be talks from Twin Peaks stars Kyle MacLachlan and Laura Dern, screenings of rare Lynch shorts along with some of his classic films.

Tickets go on sale tomorrow and all of the proceeds go to the David Lynch Foundation, a charity designed to help vulnerable people and trauma victims via Transcendental Meditation.

Follow the festival's Twitter account to keep up with the latest news.
