You wait months for a new Top Gear presenter, then two turn up at once.
A day after the internet recovered its senses at the announcement of Matt LeBlanc joining Chris Evans on the BBC's new Top Gear line-up, RadioTimes.com brings word that F1 legend Eddie Jordan is set to join "within days".
Offering a genuine expertise in all things motoring (no offence LeBlanc), Jordan is yet to sign his final contract with the new show, but a source has told Radio Times that it is a "formality".
The former F1 team owner will also be able to link the new show with the world of motorsport - a subject not given much of a spotlight in the show's former iteration.
"He is quite colourful and if it’s the Top Gear I know he may come in for ribbing – he has quite a flamboyant dress sense and of course a wacky beard," another source said.
