Just when you thought it was safe to go back in the water...
On the off chance that Jaws didn't forever see your sea legs planted on solid ground, you may wish to steer clear of the new trailer for Captain Phillips, as the Tom Hanks starring nautical thriller might just take the wind out of your sales and/or water wings.
Based on the hauntingly true story of a US cargo ship hijacked by Somali pirates in 2009, the film sees Hanks don a David Brent-esque beard and attempt to negotiate with his ship's surly visitors. And - would you believe it - turns out that his poverty-stricken, heavily armed pirate guests aren't all too fond of friendly chatter.
Check out the trailer below, and promptly cancel any plans to board a cruise liner, speedboat or even dinghy.
Captain Phillips is released on October 18th
