This does sort of make sense when you think about it. Outspoken novelist Bret Easton Ellis has revealed that he's working with the world's most confident rapper Kanye West on an upcoming project.
In an interview with VICE (natch), Ellis spoke of the pair's meetings ever since West recreated a scene from American Psycho for the release of Yeezus.
"Kanye and I have been meeting about writing a script for him and so that's a project that's kind of in the works," he shared. "He came and asked me to write the film. I didn't want to at first. Then I listened to Yeezus. It was early summer last year and I was driving in my car. He'd given me an advance copy, and I thought, regardless of whether I'm right for this project, I want to work with whoever made this. So fuck it, I said yes. And that's how it happened. That was seven or eight months ago. We'll see what happens."
Ellis went on to praise West for being one of the few people in the entertainment industry to admit to his narcissism.
The project is in "Kanye land" at the moment, according to Ellis, which means that it might take a while to become fully-formed.
We're sort of hoping it's all got something to do with that Jetsons rumour...
