Anyone who’s ever seen the likes of The X-Files, Independence Day or Super 8 knows you don’t get messing around at Area 51 in the Nevada Desert, unless you want your brains sucked out by some alien menace or – at the very least – some serious hassle from military types.
That’s what happened to a pair of gnarly adventure bros (the military hassle we mean, not the brain sucking) when they stumbled upon a secret back door to the notorious Area 51, the air force base that has a long association with secret military ops and UFO conspiracy theories.
The bikers – known as the 2 Wheeled Adventurers – pull up alongside two warning signs on a dirt track. Their helmet-recorded footage shows a white van arriving almost immediately, with two “camo dudes” (bro-ski talk for military personal) jumping out with guns and wasting no time in barking some orders.
“Put your f*cking hands up, I’m not going to tell you again,” says one, before frisking the adventurers and telling them to quite literally get on their bike.
“Get the f*ck out of here or well call Lincoln County and they’ll write you each a $700 ticket.”
It’s intense stuff, but we’d take a $700 ticket over a bullet or alien probe up the back orifice any day of the week.
The video has already racked up almost 200,000 views, with the 2 Wheeled Adventurers claiming they may have to take the video down soon “due to the government”.
Area 51 has been at the centre of various conspiracy theories, and is best known as the bunker that - allegedly - houses the alien spacecraft that - also allegedly - crash landed in Roswell, New Mexico back in 1947 (officials maintain it was just a weather balloon, but then, they would say that).
Other conspiracies says it’s the site of time travel and teleportation experiments, whereas more rational theorists argue it’s a black ops testing facility for secret aircraft and weapons system.
Whatever’s going on in the clip, Area 51 remains as mysterious as ever.
The truth is out there. And it’s totally gnarly, bro.
