If you’ve ever seen Between Two Ferns with Zach Galifianakis before, you’ll understand that a movie version might be a bit of a weird prospect. If you haven’t seen it before, well, here’s an episode:
Now imagine a movie version. Doesn’t make much sense, does it? Still, it turns out it’s been secretly filming for Netflix already, with Scott Aukerman (co-creator of the original show and also creator of the excellent Comedy Bang Bang!, which for some reason nobody has seen even though most of it is on Netflix - please, watch it, it’s hilarious) on board to direct.
The Funny or Die show has currently run for 21 episodes, plus a special, and is almost certainly the only show to feature both Barack Obama and Tila Tequila.
Slated guests to appear in the movie are Peter Dinklage, David Letterman, Keanu Reeves and Ed Helms - as well as some guests who have appeared on the show before, like Bradley Cooper.
No idea what this is going to look like, but we can certainly say it’ll be interesting and almost definitely will be extremely awkward. In a funny way. Like our normal life actually. Why does no one pay to make a movie of us? Not fair.
This was a good one wasn’t it? As much of this as possible please Zach, cheers.
