Star Wars: The Force Awakens is here and it’s really rather… well see our review here, because we don’t want to spoil anything.
The internet can be a cold, unforgiving place at times and already spoilers are beginning to flood social media pages and comment sections. Luckily, help is at hand from Priceless Misc. who have created a helpful Google Chrome extension, to prevent fans from stumbling on any important plot details before they get the chance to go to the cinema.
Dubbed Force Blocker, the extension blocks “pages containing spoilers from Star Wars: The Force Awakens, with smart pattern detection and a whitelist for false alarms.” In other words, if you’re on a webpage with any details for The Force Awakens, it will cover it with a snazzy splash page warning of you of any incoming threat. Your very own Admiral Ackbar, warning you of any online traps.
If you use Google Chrome, you can download Force Block here.
So that’s the threat of internet spoilers handled, now all you have to do is figure out how to avoid overhearing people talking about it round the office.
Better keep the headphones on until you can make that cinema trip…
