Beatboxing. You need only join the paltry crowds which gather outside shopping centres to stare at teenagers spluttering into microphones to know it’s not quite as cutting-edge a medium as it once was.
One man clearly at the top of his game, however, is Tel Aviv-based comic artist Roy Kafri, who, aiming to showcase his own beatboxing talents, gives us this mega clever video of iconic record covers singing. The added bonuses are just as impressive, with a subway train running behind Simon and Garkfunkel one such treat for the eyes.
David Bowie, Madonna, Michael Jackson, Bob Dylan, The Beatles, and, erm, Lionel Richie - it’s not a bad line up to have all singing from the same A Capella hymn sheet. Check it out for yourself by clicking the video below.
Word of note: if your own record collection ever suddenly takes on a new form and starts chanting, kill them, kill them with fire.
