

Despite Saul Bass’ pivotal artwork for Vertigo, most of the posters that accompanied Alfred Hitchcock’s masterful films were, to put it bluntly, pony. North by Northwest, Psycho, Dial M For Murder, Rear Window… all exercises in fairly dry and linear representation.
So, we like to think that if Leytonstone’s greatest progeny– yes, even more so than David Beckham, Sir Derek Jacobi and June Sarpong – were around today, he’d applaud these alternative posters.
