Remember Techno Games?

The robotic Olympics show that ran on the BBC from 2000-2003?

The one that wasn't anywhere near as entertaining as Robot Wars, but did it's best to portray androids as something other than ruthless killing machines?

Given the capacities of modern robots, it's long due a reboot with vastly improved games. Like table tennis.

The probable champion would be this little guy - an IRIS+ drone programmed by IBM's research team to track a table tennis ball and return it.

Who knows, ten more years and the Robot Olympics could be a real thing. At least there wouldn't be any doping scandals, right?
