Every ‘Game of Thrones’ character’s kill list heading into Season 8

People who don’t know Game of Thrones like to say that’s it’s nothing more than tits and dragons, but they’re wrong, there’s loads of death too.

Obviously we’re joking, it’s one of the most detailed and well-put together shows on TV, but there is a lot of death.

Arya Stark is famous for her ‘kill list’ – her list of names who she is determined to see dead by her own hand by the time all is finally said and done – but what about everyone else? Who has racked up the most notable kills in the series so far? And who is responsible for whose death?

It can be hard to keep track, what with some of them being more than six years ago, and given everyone is basically constantly scheming against everyone else – which is why we’re grateful to garbscarbs on Reddit, who has put together this excellent chart.

The chart doesn’t just show who’s struck the blow, it also attributes deaths to the people who ordered them. For example, both Cersei and Lancel Lannister are attributed with King Robert’s death, even though it was actually a boar who killed him, as they schemed to make it happen.

Similarly, the Night King’s tally shows all the notable characters killed by his army, not just by his own hand.

Every character's kill list so far

So who’s got the most impressive list so far, after seven whole seasons? Well, you’d probably have to give it to Cersei. She’s had a hand in the deaths off: Sansa’s direwolf Lady, Robert Baratheon, Lancel Lannister, Mace Tyrell, Kevan Lannister, the High Sparrow, Loras Tyrell, Margaery Tyrell, Tyene Sand, Ellaria Sand and Olenna Tyrell. A lot of them, of course, came in one big-ass boom at the end of Season 6.

Sansa’s list is interesting – while she’s never actually killed anyone by her own hand, she’s played a part in the deaths of two of Westeros’ evilest men – Ramsay Bolton and Littlefinger.

Her sister’s tally is missing some of her names – most notably Cersei – but Arya has managed to do away with Meryn Trant in extremely graphic fashion, as well as the entire Frey family.

Well there goes half the cast

Daenerys managed to put away a number of enemies over in Essos, including the witch Mirri Maz Duur, who was responsible for the death of her unborn child, and Khal Moro, who she burned alive in that epic scene in Vaes Dothrak in Season 6.

If you look carefully, you can see that the first person on Ramsay’s list is not a person at all, but Theon’s penis. He was also responsible for his father Roose (wait, but I thought he was poisoned by his enemies?), Walda Bolton, Osha, Rickon Stark and Wun Wun the giant.

Joffrey, meanwhile, despite being an evil fucker, only killed Ned Stark (via Ilyn Payne) and Ros (with a crossbow).

The highlight of the whole chart, though? Joffrey’s brother Tommen, whose kill list includes just one person… himself.
