Here's how Twitter reacted to Roy Hodgson's Euro 2016 squad

And then there were 23.

Shuffling the pack ahead of next month's European Championships, earlier today Roy Hodgson announced the final England squad he'll be taking across the Channel, with no room for Newcastle winger Andros Townsend nor Leicester City's Premier League anchorman Danny Drinkwater. Another one who didn't survive the cull, albeit unsurprisingly, was Fabian Delph (remember him?).

Still, it was better news for Manchester United hotshot striker Marcus Rashford, who joins an already packed front line, and also the perennially injured pair of Liverpool's Daniel Sturridge and Arsenal's Jack Wilshere, who were both included despite fitness concerns - let's just hope there's good wheelchair access at England's Euro 2016 base.

As ever, following the announcement the only place to be was on Twitter, where there was opinion aplenty...
