In news that is somehow real and true, the terrorist group ISIS have forced Sir Michael Caine to legally change his name. Not a lot of people know that.
Speaking to The Sun, Caine, 83, said: "I changed my name when all the stuff started with ISIS and all that."
Why? Because Michael Caine isn't Michael Caine's actual name. The actor was born Maurice Joseph Micklewhite and although he changed his name for showbiz, he kept his original name on his passport. This proved confusing for customs officials.
"He would say, 'Hi Michael Caine,' and suddenly I’d be giving him a passport with a different name on it," Caine explained.
"I could stand there for an hour. So I changed my name."
Thanks a lot, ISIS. Thanks. A. Lot.
