Jawbone is not only one of the worst bones to break in the human body (soup again, love?), it's also a top San Franciscan-based sound and earpiece specialist that creates some of the best music gadgetry in Stereo Town.

Their latest offering is the Jambox, a tiny speaker system that connects via Bluetooth to your Mp3 player/iPod/iPhone/laptop and belts out very impressive sound up to 20 metres from the source. We know because we tested the blighter here in the office.

It's also something your mum could use, it's that simple to set up. Besides Bluetooth, all the Jambox offers is a 3.5-mm stereo audio port for wired devices and a mini-USB port for charging. Then it has a small on-off switch on the side and three rubber buttons on top for adjusting volume and receiving calls. That's your lot.

Size-wise it's 6 by 2.2 by 1.6 inches and weighs a chunky 12 ounces. It will be available from the end of November at Jawbone.com and in all Apple Stores, priced at £159.99
