BBC Culture has revealed the top 100 films of this century
23 August 2016

What is the greatest film made since the year 2000?

No, it's not Snakes on a Planebut you might like to know anyway.

BBC Culture has asked 177 film critics from around the world to decide what is the best film since the turn of the century. The list includes a range of animated, live action, critically acclaimed, relatively offbeat, big blockbusters and independent films.

The winner was 2001's Lynchian odyssey Mulholland Drive - a heavyweight if slightly unconventional winner, but far from the only surprise on the list. Let us know what you make of the decision, fellow cineastes, then read on for the entire list below.
