Airline Creates Baby-Free Zone

kid_plane.jpg

The worst things in the world: illness, death, poverty, and having to sit next to a screaming baby on a flight.

Well, we're still working on the first three, but a low-budget Asian airline has finally taken steps to deal with the fourth one.

AirAsia has announced that it will be introducing 'quiet zones' on its future flights, for passengers aged 12 and above. The youngsters will be separated from the rest of the plane by bulkheads and lavatories, resulting in welcome peace and quiet for fellow travellers.

Unfortunately the plan isn't faultless: there is always the chance that some noise will spill over, as the two sections won't be sonically sealed. However, we're confident that a fully soundproofed baby isolation pod won't be far away once this scheme gets going and people rush to book in to the limited seats.

Now, just to crack illness, death and poverty and we're all done here.
