This Oscars Twitter fail is absolutely horrific

You almost have to feel sorry for them.

No doubt some young intern was charged with manning the Twitter account for Total Beauty on one of the busiest nights of the year, with the rest of their staff undoubtedly desperately trying to write a host of articles on the various looks and styles on the red carpet for the Oscars.

And with speed, comes mistakes. A big mistake.

Yes, that's right; with the issue of race a hot topic surrounding the Oscars, following the all-white acting nominations, and the threat of a boycott from many black actors, Total Beauty managed to mix up Whoopi Goldberg and Oprah Winfrey. You just couldn't make it up.

Naturally, the internet responded in its own inimitable style:

To their credit, Total Beauty responded with a grovelling apology and a charity pledge:

Good that they've asked both of them, otherwise they might have got the wrong one again.
