Incredible 'lost' promo shots show every detail of Heath Ledger's Joker

It's beyond debate that Heath Ledger's performance in the 2008 classic The Dark Knight was one of the greatest of all-time. No joke(r).

And so it's a delight to see this fantastic set of 'lost' promo pictures, showing Ledger's character from every conceivable angle and with every detail of his interpretation of the character present and correct.

Posted by Reddit user tone_is_everything, the gorgeous photographs are a mixture of newly discovered and old, but either way, they're a fascinating archive of one of the most memorable movie performances ever - one which earned Ledger a posthumous Oscar after his death shortly after filming completed, at the age of just 28.
