The best tributes to the late Gene Wilder

Gene Wilder, 1933-2016.

Few comics will ever come close to matching what this icon did onscreen.

A rich spread of larger than life characters (outlandish candy, magnates, anxious gunslingers) would make him a star name, but it was his flair for comic timing, his boundless manic energy, and twinkle in the eye, that would truly cement Wilder as one of cinema’s most iconic funny men.

And so, as the world mourns his passing aged 83, we’ve compiled some of the most touching tributes across social media to put this massive loss into perspective.
