Street Fighter 5 could be the ‘Beat ‘Em Up’ you’ve been waiting your whole life for

Joystick forward, diagonal left downward, forward plus 'Punch'.

A sentence that's either total gibberish to you, or immediately chimes as Ryu's character-smashing Dragon Punch - a move that looks all the more devastating in the latest trailer for Street Fighter V.

The latest glimpse of Capcom's smash'em'up franchise shows off all 16 characters (top marks for noticing the name switches for the Japanese version of the cast list), demonstrating some of their famed moves in the title's increasingly artistic aesthetic.

It's poetry in motion - so long as that poetry features plenty of rhyming couplets about broken ribs and fractured jaws.

Street Fighter V is yet to receive a firm release date in 2016
