Strapping an iPad to your face just got possible. This Kickstarter venture is seeking to manufacture a head-mounted bracket that, aside from making you look mad, could have serious consequences for tablet gaming.
Named the AirVR, it’s the brainchild of Toronto design company Metatecture, who brand it “iPad enabled Virtual Reality”. By using the headwear in tandem with an already developed AirVR app, your tablet can become the portal to another dimension. (It’ll also give your housemates, friends and family a new perspective on how you spend your spare time.)
Metatecture aim to raise $20,000 on Kickstarter to start manufacturing the strap. If successful, it will retail for around $50 (or £30), early next year.
Our only concern would be this: what happens when you sneeze?
