You can't beat a good rollercoaster and, luckily for us, competing theme parks are constantly on the hunt for oneupmanship, trying to outdo their rivals at every twist and turn.
The latest attempt is Fury325, a new 'giga coaster' under construction at the Carowinds amusement park, located on the border between North and South Carolina. When finished, it will be the world's tallest and fastest of this subset of roller coaster (strata coasters being the highest), eventually reaching speeds of up to 95 mph.
Carowinds have released the a video of the first test run of Fury325 and it looks pretty tasty; which is handy as you'll almost certainly be needing a new lunch after its utterly spectacular 81-degree, 325 ft (99 m) initial drop. After that, it's a relatively gentle three-minute ride round (just a minute is shown in this video) which should enable you to recover just in time to go on it again.
Count us in when it opens later this month; in the meantime watch below and get excited.
