Wesley Snipes has been away. Literally.
Having served three years in prison for tax evasion, you would think the 52-year-old would be keen to avoid dwelling on the subject of taxes or time spent behind bars. And you'd be wrong.
The Expendables 3 sees Snipes make a welcome return to the action genre as Doc - one of the founding members of the Expendables mercenaries. The third instalment of Sylvester Stallone's old timer action romp opens with the crew attempting to break Snipes out of prison. "Why'd you get locked up?" he's asked. "Tax evasion", he jests.
Ahead of The Expendables 3 release, we caught up with Snipes to talk about his return to the screen, dealing with the bravado of the Expendables cast and the roles that passed him by while he was away.
The Expendables 3 is out on 14 August
