"Virgin Mary" appears in New York tree

Hundreds of Catholics are congregating at a tree In New York where some say an image of the Virgin Mary has appeared.

Police barricades sectioned off the tree in West New York, New Jersey, which is surrounded flowers and candles.

Local woman Mary Alnodovar insists that it's a miracle: "I've been here for many years. I've never seen this before. And I always pass through here. Nothing happen like this. That's why I got surprised and I tell my friend, 'You got to go. You got to go and see.' It's not a lie. It's true what you see over there.”

Many claim the bark resembles Our Lady of Guadalupe a celebrated Roman Catholic icon of the Virgin Mary, pictured here:
