Time to build yourself a celebratory stack of massive breakfast pancakes: John Hughes’ classic comedy Uncle Buck is coming to the small screen.
Deadline reports that the 1989 movie, which starred John Candy as the immature uncle looking after his nieces and nephews, is being put into production by ABC.
You can remind yourself of the immortal Buck Russell by watching the trailer, below.
The film was turned into a TV series once before, running for a single season back in 1990. This time, Uncle Buck will be written by Steven Cragg and Brian Bradley, the men behind the sadly departed Happy Endings and numerous episodes of Scrubs.
That’s all we know for now so, to quote the great man himself, “get in your mouse and get outta here.”
