Typo gets wrong man elected

Right man is understandably peeved

Typo gets wrong man elected

Now, sorry to anyone who we offend with this statement, but we've always found naming your son after yourself a little self-indulgent.

So, our sympathy is at the bare minimum for this guy. Connecticut politician James R. Butler was standing for a second term as head of Derby's Board of Apportionment and Taxation so in other words, he was looking after the budget.

But someone put the wrong name on the form. Not just the wrong name but the name of his son James J. Butler. Before anything could be done, Butler won. Well, the wrong Butler did.

So now the 72-year-old James R's 46-year-old son has been voted in and no-one quite knows what to do. They have until December 3rd to figure something out as that's when the swearing in ceremony happens.

If you ask us, and renember that we've watched far too many comedies starring Robin Williams, Eddie Murphy and Steve Martin, the two Butlers would hilariously dress as one another and set in chain a hilarious set of misunderstandings. It would be hilarious.
