"When are you going to throw out that old console? It doesn't even work any more."
Don't listen to them, they don't understand. They don't know of the galaxies you've saved, the championships you've won and the worlds you've explored with that glorious grey box. While they see a dusty waste of space, you see a fallen comrade.
Never fear, Twitter user @rurue0111 may have just struck on the perfect second life for your beloved PlayStation: the ultimate gaming clock.
While @rurue0111 doesn't provide concise instructions on how to make the clock, the images shared make it look like a pretty straight forward build: having been a sensible human being and made sure it's not plugged in, strip out all of the defunct innards of the console (don't you DARE consider doing this to a functioning PlayStation, you monster). This should make the console light enough to be mounted on your wall - though you won't want to damage the lid opening mechanism.
Next, stencil the numbers around the circular disc tray lid, using a small drill bit to pierce the plastic - you might want to use a manual hand drill if you're scared of applying too much pressure.
Failing that, you can just buy one that's been made for you on Etsy for £26. But where's the fun in that?
