Thunderbirds are go! (again)

Thanks to advancements in technology and Team America, puppets no longer have a tight grip on the entertainment industry. Unless you live on a pier.

But, if you're a fan of reading our headlines before you read the rest of the story, you'll see that Thunderbirds is making a comeback. ITV is teaming with a New Zealand based production company and Peter Jackson's Weta Workshop to bring the heroes on strings back to the small screen.

The reboot, called Thunderbirds Are Go!, will be a combination of CGI animation and, yes, model sets. ITV have ordered a confident 26 half hour episodes to be broadcast on CITV in 2015. Interestingly, the original show was only around for two seasons.

The last attempt to bring the show back to life was the failed 2004 movie which only made $28 million (£17 million) worldwide from a $57 million (£36 million) budget.

The new show will be written by Rob Hoegee, who works on Ben 10, Teen Titans, Generator Rex and other shows that you're far too old to be watching.

Will you be giving this a watch?
